(Ephesians 5:8)
Parents, leaders, and educators, we have a mission, a duty to lead children's souls toward the Light which will be their guide and their happiness. In order to illuminate the way that lies before each one of us, once a week we invite you to discover some of the words of certain wisemen and witnesses, measuring their worth by the words of St. Thomas Aquinas: “Do not consider the one who speaks, but whatever good you hear from him, confide it to your memory.” (from The Sixteen Ways to Acquire the Treasure of Knowledge by St. Thomas). Happy reading!
Dear Corrado, this Christmas, I’m offering everything up for you and for your return. You know, I’ve suffered a great deal these past years, while imprisoned, but today I see that everything has a meaning, everything happens for our good, because without this suffering I would never have discovered this marvelous life – which is Faith in Christ – so easily. With Jesus, each defeat is transformed into a moment of glory, humility is always victorious, and the more one gives, the more one receives. With humiliations, I’ve found humility; through pain, I’ve discovered detachment from the world; and because of my love for you, I’ve found Faith in Christ. And with that, I’ve found everything!

“Remember that marriage is a sacrament; it is sacred because it is one of God’s laws which no man can change. If God permitted us to meet and to marry, it must mean that it was His Will, and that He will give all the strength necessary to overcome this crisis in the end (…) I’ll be patient and wait for you, for I’m convinced that the Lord has permitted this trial, not for our ruin, but for our salvation. The extra-conjugal disorder is the work of the devil, and it has to stop some day because in the end, evil never conquers good. If so many marriages haven’t had the strength to overcome crises, it is only because husband and wife have lost the Faith, and no longer know how to pray.”
